    Age of Rapalas?

    Any idea how to tell the progressive age of older rapalas?

    I have a pile that say simply finland on the bottom of em

    Also an oddball that says Palsa Finland?

    These were kicking around and though cool too look at really arent my fishers so trying to figure out A. if they are worth much of anything and B. if not at least how old they are.

    Palsa are not Rapalas. Early lures are marked in black on the lip.

    krindgen...I think the model # of that lure is FR-5. But don't quote me on that. I'm not an expert on anything, but especially the Rapalas. But FR is the designation for a Fat Rap and looking on my ruler, 2" corresponds to 5 CM, so I think the FR-5 will be pretty close my Friend. Good luck finding what you are looking for.

    Be careful if you try to fish those old Palsa jerkbaits. I've seen a lot of those lips just disintegrate. Can be very fragile.
