    Dobyns Crankin Rod

I just switched over to Fury rods, but noticed they dont have a 7'6-8' deep cranking rod. I dont want to spend the 200-250 for a champ xp rod. What are the other dobyns options out there for a glass rod? Otherwise I will just keep my original Powell Max 7'11 crankin rod if their arent other options out there for $100-$150

    thanks

    The Powell is good rod
hang in there and wait for a 20% off sale, the other option is
    browse the used rod forum.

I've got a 705 and 706 Champion comp. cranking rod. I don't throw crankbaits with the 706, but that 6 power rod would be a great big crank rod. I don't think they make a 766, only 806. The Champions are money well spent for moving bait rods.

for the money, Bass Pro Shop's Crankin Stick is an awesome crankbait rod! They make a 7'6" & 7'10" model............and their Spring Classic sale starts tomorrow, with a trade in program, if you are near a BPS or Cabelas store.!

Agree with above, if you don't want to spend any money, get the BPS Crankin Stick, you can't really beat it for the price. Champ XP's are excellent rods, probably some of the best CB rods out there, but if you don't want to pay the price, just go BPS. Or keep the Powell.

I have the 706cb as well and can’t beleove how far a proper 7 foot rod can throw those baits out.
