Need help deciding on what to do to my truck.

I have a 1999 ford F250 that's two tone blue top/gray bottom. I am getting the bottom (gray), bumpers and wheel wells sprayed with a spray on bedliner soon when my brother gets time to do it.

I got a good deal on a 05-07 grill but its chrome (cant stand chrome). I need help deciding on what to do with it, paint it the color of the truck, matte black, gloss black, or also get it sprayed with the bedliner.

I prefer color matched grills and bumpers. When I see black, it makes me think of the base models of the truck.

I pretty much don’t like any of the aftermarket stuff. I like vehicles that are set up like they were from the factory, so I doubt you’d want my opinion. Lol. Good luck to you sir

Not a fan of the bedliner on anything but bumpers and beds. Just looked at an 06 F250 where they bedlined the entire truck exterior in two tone to simulate the factory color scheme. At a distance, looked great. Up close, not so much. In this case, the truck was totaled; bought at auction, and poorly repaired. Unless the purpose is functional, I wouldn’t...

paint it matte black...the bedliner is very rough material and won't look good on the grill IMO

Plasti Dip is an option. Comes in lots of colors. Some guys use it on their trailer wheels. Holds up pretty good.
    Please release me,let me go.

I would probably agree with this also if I had to pick. Matte does just look dirty to me though too.

If you want painted go get a painted one. Unless you can get all the chrome off. No paint will stick to it. I've tried everything

I just did a quick check on rockauto. You can get the flat black 06 f250 grille for $26 and the chrome one for $70-80. If you want flat black xl looks, just buy that and you dont have to worry about paint flaking off
