Courtesy Light issues 2003 TZX190

I purchased the boat recently and the fuse was missing on the courtesy light. I replaced it and the light began to work and the storage compartments did as well but when I power the switch off the step light goes out but the storage compartments stay lighted. Any thoughts on what might be wrong? If I pull the courtesy light fuse they all go out.

Bad switch? I have the same model and year. I don’t think there are pin switches on the lids. I’m sure they are only
powered by the switch. Maybe trace the wiring from the light to the switch and see what gives. Could even be a bad bulb causing issues, highly doubt it. Likely a ground issue, since I believe the switch connects the circuit to ground. The lights are connected to constant at the fuse block.
