    Xi5 - Need help

I have been working on my boat these last few weeks. I had to re-wire my batteries after taking out the fuel tank....lots of extra wire, poor connectors (i’m OCD) and just general clean up. The troller worked fine before I started, now nothing......no lights, no power, nothing. I took the covers off and I have 24v to the lugs on the troller under the cover with the LED’s. What could it be? Are they polarity sensitive? I did have a quick shor back in the battery compartment while working there, it I had the master battery switch off (ground was still connected). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Think about it...if you hook it up with the polarity reversed won't the prop turn backwards? It may even be circuit protected.
I've seen motors smoked from not being careful and hooking up polarity reversed...at least one of mine did. Circuit board.

What kind of TM is it? Back when I was running an original Power Drive, after sitting over the winter there was usually enough surface corrosion on the momentary and constant switches that it wouldn't want to turn on. The solution was to crank it up to max power and hold each switch on until current finally started to flow. Some years it was maybe 5 seconds, and others 30-60 seconds.

All Troll motors that have electronic boards are polarity sensitive. Was no always like that but now it is. Back in the day if it was hooked it up wrong it would blow the board. Check polarity. Also check all connects and as said above check your breaker and it's connections.
