If you can find an older Aldebaran MG7 or Core at the right price I'd rather go with that than a new 70. I have both and the Aldebaran and Core are noticeably better for jerkbaits and popper, I also use them with smaller balsa squarebills.

Sportsmans Outfitter's has the Revo ALX at a very attractive price($119.99). 5.5oz, 6.4 or 8.0. I have ALXes (6.4)on a St Croix 7'1" MF rod and reel weighs 9.9oz and on a Phenix Recon2 714 weighs 10.1oz for jerkbaits. Entire reel fits in the palm of my hand.
