Anyone stay there lately? We have been going for years and last year when we came down the rooms were flat out gross, roaches coming out of the fridge and under the sink, beds were nasty and so were the showers. This was right in the middle of ownership changing hands but has it gotten any better? Thinking of just renting a house to avoid it this year

Supposedly with new ownership they are cleaning the place up. I stayed there about 3 years ago with no problem, but I heard it had went down hill.

I was at Camp Mack in Oct. no issues I did stay in a cabin and not lodge. Cabin was clean and cleaned everyday.

Never had an issue over the years. Maybe because I fish from sun up till sun down so I could sleep on a door mat if needed.

We have been there every spring for the last five years and has always been good enough, like you we are only there to sleep. Last year the amount of roaches in our room was just gross, loaf of bread we brought to make sandwiches to carry on the boat was full of bugs after the first day, along with anything else we left out. Hell out clothes even had bugs in them. Maybe it was just a bad week for them
I talked with the new owners last year. They just happened to come by my room when I was putting the boat to sleep. Anyway, one thing they mentioned was a lot of people were cleaning fish in their rooms when not supposed to. The carpets were getting soaked with guts and stuff. Hope they were able to tighten down on that.
