What switch? I believe all Phoenix are TM's are hard wired. One thing you will need to check is the breaker....When I changed out my MG Tour to Ultrex I had to bump up the breaker......

No reason to change any wiring. As mentioned, you will probably need a larger breaker. If an on/off switch is installed, it should be fine. If not and you want one, there are switch/breakers that you can install to do both. Also, if you remove the right panel on the MK mount, it will reveal another set of mounting holes that normally line up with MG mounting holes.

Joel, on my 619 I was able to use the existing holes from the MG mount with the exception of 2 holes. Sealed those up and made two more new ones.

I really do not think you will need to drill any holes. I removed the original MG off my current boat and replaced it with a MK Fortrex. By removing the side plate on the MK, it revealed several mounting options (holes). I did not need to do any drilling. I did this on my previous boat too.

As long as you are not changing voltage (24 - 36) you should be fine

This I have had mine for going on 3 years and I still find myself with my foot on wrong side wondering why I am not going anywhere.

Yup, been about 6 or 7 years for me, counting my last boat after I changed motors on it.

I have a 719 and recently went from a MG to an Ultrex. If you are planning on going 45" shaft, it will mount fine. Your cover will fit a tad different, but still covers it. Foot pedal fits just a little snug. I haven't had to change out my breaker? I have the one from the factory so I'm not sure on that part?
