I'm strongly thinking about this.
I'm strongly thinking about this.
The livescope is insane! I would sure like to have it but afraid I would have to sleep in my boat for a while once the wife found the receipt.
Awesome !! How long before MinnKota offers something like it ?
Ive been a Lowrance fan for well over 20 years, but Garmin really has my attention. Its writing the check that I don't want to write
Lowrance is coming out with something to compete with garmin as we speak. Lowrance live?
I'm buying the panoptix this week and getting a stack mount from precision sonar for the front of my V20. JMO but Lowrance has great downscan but is behind the other brands on their side imaging. I'm not sure their livescan will be able to compete with garmin. I'll keep my hds on the front for GPS and downscan and stack the Garmin for the panoptix.
Justifying 4x the cost of a regular sonar unit is the sticking point
Watch some of the videos Josh Jones has made with the LiveScope, he has it mastered and it is amazing.

Dang!! That’s pretty impressive technology, almost doesn’t seem sporting.

There are a lot of people who agree with you on this topic. Josh Jones, Tommy Ezell and some of the other guides catch a lot of flack on this topic on facebook. I cant afford it either way so it doesnt matter to me but It sure would be tempting if i could. It will get to a point soon where without this technology being a Crappie Tournament fishermen you will be at a disadvantage.

I've been a Motorguide/Lowrance user for years. Just waiting to see what they offer this spring in new equipment. If its not what I'm wanting, then a new Ultrex/Livescope will be on the front of my boat by early summer.

I picked one up and waiting to get the livescope transducer , they are on back order.
Seems like the perfect unit for me to locate crappie in my main lake that I fish.
Knowing where and how they are related should help me stay on them more .
I have to admit they are worth the money. It makes you more efficient on the water. No more questions if fish are there and how they are reacting.

If you can't afford the Livescope. Might consider using the Panoptix transducers. I have seen the PS 22 ( used ) on here for as low as 500. Lots of guys want to sell their older panoptix transducers to upgrade.
Livescope has surely sent the fishing world buzzing. I was caught up in the fever at first also. After a short cool down period. I had to admit to myself I was satisfied with the setup I have. Admittedly the PS 30 and PS 21 on my boat does not display pretty pix like the Livescope. Yet it is a baaad azz system for finding fish.
I run an old Gpsmap 1040 xs. The ps 30 downvu and ps21 forward vu. Screen can display both views at same time. The Humminbird Mega 10 Helix has more cobwebs than hours. I WAS the biggest Humminbird fan ever. No longer.
