    bluewater led trailer light question

So I was watching some youtube vids on trailer led strips and they used T-TAPS to connect the wires. My question is are they water proof because they are not heat shrinking them once done and the ttaps will be under water when backing the boat in the water. Wont this be a potential problem or should you not use ttaps. just confused over this.

As stated above I heatshrink and solder for customers however I’ve had Bluewaters under my trailer for bout 6 years or so with T Taps and die electric grease and no issues.

Dielectric grease is your best friend. That and liquid electric tape.

Hmmm thanks guys I feel better now and I guess its the dielctric grease. I will also do liquid electric tape and see if I can heat shrink but not sure if I can get the heat tube to go over the ttap

Liquid electrical tape takes the place of heat shrink.
