What Vehicle are you guys using to tow the 921 Pro XP and the 921 PHX and what kind of gas mileage do you get towing.

I run a Ford 250 6.7L Diesel and get around 15 on the interstate while towing my 920. I don't even know the boat is back there with this truck.

18 duramax. Up to 17 mpg around 65 but I rarely go that slow. More like 13-14 going 75.

you guys are getting almost what I get with a v6 towing a 618phx Speed does kill mileage with or without a boat. seems like 65 is the threshold when things go down hill

920 pro xp. Jeep Grand Cherokee V6. 16-18mpg depending on which route I take. Pulls as good as my old F150 with the 5.4. 130k miles with zero issues. Pulled a Nitro Z8 before that with it.

Glad to hear about the Grand Cherokee working well. Just got one for the wife with the thought of using it as a backup puller.

Jeep should be good. Same v6 I have and I don't notice my 618 in tow. I don't think adding 700lbs would matter much unless I was pulling a steep long hill.

Towing bass boats isn't brand specific, it's weight specific.
If you can afford the boat and tow vehicle, the fact that it gets 14mpg or 19mpg should not be an issue.

agree, it is about the mileage your tow vehicle gets in the day to day commute IMO.

Had a ‘12 ram 1500 with 5.7 hemi. Was getting 12-12.5 pulling a 920 @ 70. Got a ‘18 over the winter but haven’t got to pull with it yet.

I probably should point out that my Jeep Grand Cherokee has the tow package from the factory. That generally comes with "Heavy Duty" brakes. Am I going to win any races with it? No, but it does the job well. The only time I notice it really is going up very steep hills and you then are aware that while my Jeep has similar horse power to my old 5.4, it does not have the torque. I also don't try to make a 30min drive in 20min. :)

I'd add my Durango stops better then my full size Tahoe ever did;;; by big margin. I have a tow package as well
