    Fishing on your knees

Watching some of the guys fish on their knees make me cringe, there is no way my knees could take that.

When it’s rough and I’m dragging I’ll take a knee. Also been known to take a knee to get a better angle on a cast. I’ve installed over 1,000,000 ft. of hard surface flooring. My knees are hanging in there. It’s my back that gives me fits.

Windy days the 6ft fairy wands come out and I'm on my knees dragging a tube. The closer you are to the water the better on those breezy days.

Laid allot of carpet and vinyl, one of the reasons my knees are not the best.

Paul Elias back in the 1980’s was known for the ‘kneel and reel’ crankbait fishing method.

Well some of those fella's knees must be in way better condition than a lot of us and it could give your back and other muscles a break now and then.....

I could probably handle fishing on my knees for a while but then would crawl to the edge of the casting deck to make it easier to get back on my feet.

I've gone to my knees for a few minutes at a time to alleviate back pain. I feel like I don't have the hookset or cranking power though, ohh and to get more depth on a lure

I've sat down on the front deck before I kneel...Years of ice hockey has left them with about a 45 degree range of useful movement. If they get to less than a 90 degree angle, I have no strength and hurt.

I could do that all day...until I tried to stand up! I’d either pass out or just lay on my back and hope to die! Before Lyme disease I had great knees, but since those little parasites ate things up my knees are horrible! It usually ends up hurting my back more than anything while fishing though.

If I were fishing for a living I’d find a way though, that’s their job! I’m sure their boats have a little more padding than my little tin as well! Face it, these 20 somethings can do things the 40 and over guys can barely remember.

After 5 knee operations and 30 years of crawling under houses and thru attics that would be a no on the fishing from my knees

I get down on my knees everytime I go fishing, praying to God for just one bite.
