    Rainshadow 9'8" Flippin blank

I ordered one and it just came in...it's ridiculous. My bench might just be long enough to build it lol. I'm still trying to figure out the handle length and such but this will be for straight flippin. One thing that was a nice surprise is that the blank listed at 5.9oz but it came in at 5.64oz so a little lighter than expected.

This one may end up just being a novelty.

I don't know, maybe flippin a little further back in the trees when 13 is flooded? Just kind of want to see how it's gonna come out. I'll figure out a use for it once it's built.

Ah perfect. I was trying to ship out a tube that was an inch over 8 feet a few months back and they wanted 120 bucks to ship it lol. Ran back home cut an inch off the tube. 30 bucks lol

I got the handle/butt done over the weekend. Without the guides it's 6.9oz so overall weight isn't going to be much of an issue. There's no real way to balance it well so I just went with a 13.5" handle (from the back of the reel seat to the butt) which stops the butt a little before my elbow so I'll kind a brace it there when flippin. The thing that's going to be weird is since it's telescopic the stripper is 31" from the reel. On a 7'6" telescopic it's like 26/27". I may add a flippin guide closer to the reel but not sure yet.
