    Solix 12 SI mega with mega+ transducer

    Will this transducer (XM 14 HW MSI T) work for a Solix 12 Mega SI unit?

    I am wondering the same thing. I also inquired to Nick regarding this since in a later (more recent post) he posted a great comparison thread where he used them both on his new Mega+ unit and said the difference would be even greater if using them on MEGA Solix Gen1 head...inquiring minds would like to know...Thanks

    Ok sounds good...I just got the call back from HB tech support for Solix users and they were quick to say "no" will not work...have u actually tried it? Thanks

    They would lose a ton of sales if you could just buy a transducer to get mega+. It's not that easy.

    If it were that easy I'd replace the xdcr on my Helix 10 SI Mega Chirp GPS G2N with a Mega + xdcr and save about $400 on the deal. The newer technology, including the extra power, is in the unit.
