Buyout question
Im new to the etrade game. Ive only been dabbling for 6 months or so. I got an email that a company wants to buy all the common stock of a company that I invested in for about 33% more than the market close on January 31st. I have until May to decide to act or not act. What are the ramifications of not acting? The document they sent was more than confusing to my dumbass. Is there any benefit to not acting?

After reading a press release it looks like the company i own stock in has refused a buyout so the other company is attempting to buy the common stock
