    920 vs 721

    Howdy everyone,

So, I’ve been running a Skeeter ZX 250 for the last several years & ive decided to make a switch to Phoenix. Not real sure why, but I just like the look and layout of the boats. I wanted to get everyone’s opinion on a ‘19 - 721 with a SHO or an ‘18 - 920 with a Merc 250 2Stroke. I can get either boat rigged almost identical for dang near the same $. Both boats are new boats. Which direction would you guys go?

Thank you, in advance, for taking some time to reply!

That’s tough. I’d prefer a SHO over a 2 stroke Pro xS but I’d also prefer a 920 for the width than the 721 for the length.

I’d go 721 with the sho

I would definitely get the 721/SHO.

721/sho. Love mine and no way I would go back to a 2 stroke

721/SHO, really nice performance combo. The Phoenix will ride a lot softer in the chop and rough stuff than your Skeeter.

Never ride in a 721 or sho but absolutely love my 920/pro xs combo. Runs awesome and always had a 2 stroke so doesn’t bother me any. Tried and proven tech. Nothing wrong with a 4 stroke just never had one to give insight on

Thank you guys for all your replies. Sounds like a Phoenix will be a great move either way I decide to go.

I made this decision last year. 721/sho and don't look back. If you lay rods on the front deck of each side by side you really don't notice the couple inches of extra width the 920 has over the 721.
But if you were to take both on the water when you throw the hammer down the sho is up and gone before the 2stroke spools up

I went from a ZX200 to a 721/250 XS. Now my ZX200 was not near as big of a boat as the ZX250 is. My Skeeter was a good boat, but I love my 721. Ride is great and storage is awesome way more then my Skeeter had. I had my Skeeter packed to the gills. Put all that stuff in my Phoenix and still have a bunch of room to spare.

Have a 2018 920, love the boat. Had the opportunity to chose either one. Liked the wider deck. I think the 721 is a faster boat.
Really cant go wrong either way
