I was rigging a lure to use for fishing yesterday when I accidentally stuck myself in two places. Ouch! Got the hook out of the palm myself but couldn't get one of the treble hooks out on top of the thumb. Had to get my wife to help. Even though I knew what that meant. . . . lecture time

She pushed the hook all the way thru and then cut off the end of the hook with the barb. You can see the one hook we had to cut the barb off. Then doctoring with Chlorhexidine soap, Hydroxgen Peroxide, Triple Antiobiotic Ointment, and band aid.

Wife: How did this happen?
Me: I was . . .
Wife: This is the 5th time you've done this. At least five times I know about.
Me: Ummmm
Wife: You have to stop doing this!
Me: Well . . . .
Wife: When was your last tetanus shot?
Me: When I wrecked my bike five years ago.
Wife: You mean the time you came down the hill way too fast, missed the turn, hit the curb, flew over the handlebars, bounced off that big boulder, knocked down the For Sale sign and ended up in the bottom of the ditch?
Me: When you put it that way it sounds kinda bad.
Wife: It was bad!
Me: I was just . . .
Wife: You just can't stay out of trouble!
Me: My middle name.
Wife: Not funny. You gotta stop hurting yourself.
Me: I'll try.


Accidents happen. Sometimes they happen when you're having fun.

Popping them out with braid hurts a lot less(guess how I know)
