I know a guy that just rigged one and he started with a 33 bravo1 FS. Said it performed well but not enough pitch. He has some other props coming to try. His bud has a 21XRS 300R and says a 31.5 Promax with large blowout ring does well. The first guy I mentioned likes every last mph so you may be fine with either of these. He also said they like to be run much higher, up to an inch higher but be careful & use your own best judgement on that. I assume your getting the sportmaster gc.

I ran into a guy at the pumps last week he had a 21 xrd with a 300r. He had a 32p mercury five blade prop. It wasn't the high five or the maximus I can't recall the name of it. He said it was a new one that just came out. He said he liked it. I asked if it was enough prop and he advised that it was. His boat was loaded to the gills with power poles and big electronics.

It was probably a Max 5. I hear those work well too but they are over $2 grand!

I hate to be the bearer of the bad news but the Max 5 works extremely well with with the 250 and 300R. I mean extremely well!

    I have ran them from a 26 up to a 31.

$2k is hard to swallow, but it pairs extremely well with the R. I think we will see some changes soon though, the stock version is running a tad too much stern lift and needs to be special ordered with a cut barrel.

Look at a 30-31 promax. 30 ran well on my 21ss, up to 92 (with a heavy load).

I could not turn the 32 promax over 6100 rpm (with heavy load), but hit 96+

I just purchased a 31, so Ill know more this weekend.

There are some larger numbers floating around the web, but I feel the motor heights involved will be catastrophic for props.
