Garmin Internal Map Sharing

If you have an echomap unit with coastal maps and another unit with inland lakes - if you have the units networked can you see either or on either unit? So the bow unit could show the coastal maps if they were on the back unit even though the bow unit came with the inland lakes? Thanks for any clarification.
