Anyone enjoy the warm this weekend?

I got a few hours of fishing in - just from the bank - the jerkbait nite was good in the Little Niangua at LOZ.FFECD624-0E73-4E06-88A2-8466DB94D0CD.jpeg

Nice catch. I have heard people say there are smallmouth in the lake but I have never seen one weighed in or known anyone to catch one. Congrats.

Come way up the Little Niangua (8+ miles) in the winter drawdown. We catch them pretty often.

ill have to say I have fished LOZ a lot over the years and have caught a ton of fish out of there but never a smallie. and a nice one at that.
but I don't fish the Niangua arm much either.

fished a tournament out of PB2 last fall and the tourney MC told a guy he would give him $50 if he brought in a 15 inch smallie. The MC kept his money.

I’ve tried to find information about smallmouth in LOZ but was coming up blank. I would think they Lake could support them just fine with the rock structure and crayfish, baitfish in there

    USA

There are mostly largemouth, and spotted bass, but there are a few smallmouth, more and more all the time.
