    Trim motor wont stop running!!!!!!!!

Hey guys I have 2008 250Vmax HPDI. Came home from work and heard my trim motor running. I press up with motor stopped. Once I let go started again. Seems like down relay might be stuck. Also trim down button at bow of a 2008 Skeeter Iclass was blinking. Is this an easy fix? Have to disconnect motor from battery to get the trim motor from running? Any ideas of what is going on? Thanks in advance.

Check the button on the bow... Make sure nothing is pressing any of the trim buttons. If nothing is bumping swithes, You most likely have a wet or bad switch.

Yes did. Nothing pressing switches. Running on its own.

If it is an electronic bow panel, I would ask on the Skeeter page. Sounds like a bad panel or a sticking relay.

Try unplugging the switch on the engine see if it stops.

My guess is a faulty switch stuck on. I had that happen to me years ago.

Thank you guys. It was the relay. They dont give them things away. Dealer wants $350.00 for relay. I'm looking online for replacement. Thanks for all the help.

This is what gets me about these wonderful motors. They cost a fortune for a part that shouldn't go bad in the first place.

If you go to toledobend the guy at midland marine changed mine and actually used the mercury trim relay on my hpdi. Two fuses one for up and one for down. If a fuse goes out you can swap to the other and trim the motor to where you need it to at least get in. Or carry extra 15 amp fuse. He charged me $150.00. Or you could probably do it yourself cheaper. Going on a year no issues.
