    McClure

    Have next 2 tourneys up there, one Saturday, and one in a month. Never been there, any advise on where to start and what's Workin?

    I was up there on the 27th. Caught a few on a ned off of points. When it was time to leave, I went to the restroom and it's by the fish cleaning station. This man and woman had a cooler full of 3 pound spots. They were fishing out of an old 80's pleasure boat and supposedly using live craws. Might want to try something craw colored.

    Good info. Heard good things about the lake just never been there. Is it more of a main lake thing right now or up the river arm?

    I fished the main lake. I believe the water temp was 58. Supposed to rain this weekend and I'm sure the water there is muddy and has debris floating everywhere from the recent rains. Good luck.

    McClure is a solid lake year round. The weather lately though has kept bass a bit random. Work drop-offs and deep points. I'd focus to the left side of the lake from when launching at the main marina. Also, out behind where the house boats are parked there is a nice arm and has always produced.

    If you can find the shad, it should produce. Wish all this rain wasn't here, i'm dying to get out - but i know the state needs it.

    Didn't even get to go. Woke up, hooked up the boat, and just before leaving got a call that I had head to work due to burst water line. So had a fun Saturday to say the least. Now I won't have a chance to get up there for another week to pre fish for 3-2 tourney.

    Shouldn't matter, the bite will change between now and then with all the cold water coming in.

    Ain't that the truth, tried fishing Melones a few weeks back and just this last week got the boat dried out, even when using fans. I welcome the rain but for me could mother nature rain just during the week. Not minding the rain so much but the wind has been brutal

    How did you do at McClure Sat, BBT. Lot of good weights, 3 fish over 5lbs and 4 over 4lbs.... who said McClure cant ever be a big fish lake. In the last few weeks I think it's proved differently, Right on !!!!

    McClure is on the rise. 71% capacity today and 67% 5 days ago. The inflows and outflows are moving along pretty good too.
