Bass Pro Reduced Military Discount

Made a purchase at BPS yesterday and did the usually, show military ID at counter to get 10% off.

Cashier informs me that it is now 5% due to the recent Cabelas acquisition.
My immediate thought was, it is odd that you purchased them and had to adjust your programs.

Not sure if consumers are paying off the purchase price of Cabela's with fewer discounts, or if the new credit card company had something to do with it.
I feel privileged to get any discount as a 20+ year vet. But the reasoning, unless the cashier was just parroting her managers statement, was a bit silly.
So, off to buy some stuff at some online stores that recognize veterans at 5% more than BPS.

It was 5 last time I asked. Do tacklewarehouse! Better prices and they give 10 off when you register with them as a vet.

Was 10%, and for active or retired. And your correct on pts back...depending on your club card level.

CLUB Classic earns 2%, CLUB Silver earns 3% and CLUB Black earns 5% back in CLUB Points on purchases.

I never served, draft was stopped 2 years before my number came up but IMO first responders, military and veterans should have a minimum of 10% discount.

They also 5% more then any other tackle store... here in Canada anyway. They are way more money they Sail (camping/out door store). Sail is Canadian so I try and buy my gear there if possible.

Does sail sponsor all the major tours? Do they sponsor high school and college fishing ? Do they support the P.V.A. Tour?

Cabela's was always 5% and Bass Pro was 10%. I was wondering how long it would take them to lower it to 5%.
