Aluminum boats should never crack if built right. I'd keep trying the factory. You could go the insurance route also, that might get you a new hull for the price of your deductible. Definitely do not give up and let the warranty run out. Document everything so if the warranty runs out it will still be covered as an on going issue.

sorry to hear about your problem. Crestliner should stand behind it. my PT 18 had bad porpoising problems. Crestliner built me a new boat without any hassle.

Bought boat off the boards here and had it shipped.
Bought discounted as new with 28 hours on motor.

    Dealer or private party?

You are going to have to deal with crestliner and one of the dealers. Insurance does not cover defects. It sucks to be in your situation I hope it does not happen to me but it can happen to anyone. Hopefully the warranty eventually gets it fixed or replaced. Almost all manufacturers will try simple repairs before replacing. Makes sense but it sucks having to try different things only to have it happen over and over until the manufacturer checks all the boxes before taking a bigger hit on a more costlier repair or replacement.

I sure hate to hear your problems with your Crestliner, but I believe the key to any problems that one would have with a boat regardless of what brand and they all have problems, would be the dealership that you bought the boat from, with most manufacturers you’ll have to go through your dealer, and I believe a good dealer can make things happen for you. Hope this problem works out for you.

I sent a letter to Brunswick, who owns Lowe and Crestliner. Waited a few weeks and posted the letter on Lowe's FB page. I got a response in 9 hours, they picked up my boat in Alabama, brought it to Missouri, took all my equipment off, installed it on a new boat, and shipped back to the dealer at no cost.

As others have said, contact Crestliner directly. If you don't get satisfaction, posting on their Facebook page will get their attention...companies HATE public complaints on their Facebook page!

If the cracks are happening in the corners of the transom, it seems to me that a brace welded across the corner would solve the problem. Posting some pics of the cracks would help.

That's too bad, at the cost of these boats crestliner should be stepping up. It's simple really... I had a crestliner fish hawk, it was a great boat and never gave me one issue. I'm actually surprised with the weld issues, never really heard crestliner have bad welds. I hope they step up and do what's right. Good luck...

Anyways. Finally got the direct number to the person that handles the warranties. So going to give them a call on Monday. We will se what he says.
I just purchased a 2019 pt20 and 4th trip out to the water and the crestliner sticker is coming off and I have found that my transom is cracked in the same place as you are talking about on yours my carpet is ripping under my feet already. so I am quite mad as well I sold the glass boat and bought this cause of the size Im really regretting that now. souds like the quality is horrible. I think this was a big mistake.
