There was such a run of people buying Favorite rods and Googan baits because that is what todays BPT winner uses that it totally crashed the site from so many sales!

Maintenance time - nothing to worry about :)

HTTP Status Code 503: The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overload or scheduled maintenance

I have never heard of Favorite Rods until about a month ago. They must have piles of cash to sponsor these guys. Are the rods gimmick or half decent? I have always stuck with Falcon, fenwicks so some of this new fluff is interesting.

typically the customer should never see a 503 - if there is planned server maintenance typically the end user is redirected to a "maintenance page" with company branding and planned outage status, times, etc - not a server side html status code. A 503 means the server is available, just refusing the request. Now why it's doing that could be several things, that TW IT staff may or may not be aware of. They may be down for maintenance, moving, or whatever, and they just don't care about the site, but I would doubt that, at least for a public retail operation. More than likely they have an config issue, a mis-timed maintenance action, or they are truly overloaded - which doesn't seem likely on a Saturday evening. More often than not, a 503 is the result of human intervention, whether intentional or not.

True - It's funny I go on there so many times just looking for specs of something, or a line diameter, etc... you just don't realize it until you can't get to it

Just imagine if it kept track of every time you added something to your cart and then removed it...
