How many members of this forum have never..

How many of you guys have never fished the natural lakes north of Indy? Just curious, seems like a good majority only ever talk about monroe, patoka, and occasionally brookville or tanners.

That is a under statement. I've never been anywhere with the amount of boat traffic as some of the lakes up here. Even on the no wake lakes.

I fished Wawasee once for a Hoosier invitational. I liked it but not enough to ever make the trip back.
If im traveling that far north I’m just going to keep on going up to Lake Sinclair.

I live a hour from it, and don't fish it much.

Have fished Wawasee a few times and liked it because it's so different from regular lakes around here. Also fished Manitou once many years ago and that's it as far as natural lakes in Indiana but have fished Shafer, Missisennwa, Salamonie and St Joe River.

The last couple of years I have fished a scholarship tournament on Lake James. The fishing was tough both years, but we had a blast doing it. Sad thing is we finished 1 place out of the money both years.

There are no fish to be caught in the northern lakes. Its a waste of your time to go up there.

Many years ago, IBF used to have tourneys on Tippicanoe/Barbie Chain, occassionally James and Wawassee about every year, problem was parking for trucks & trailers and launch sites took forever to get everybody launched and out. That was a real pain. If you look at the club schedules on IBF website, the northern lakes are pounded by tourneys be it club type or invitationals of all kinds. More bass clubs in the north than rest of the state put together from the posted schedules

I have fished up there some on a variety of the lakes.
I really like going there. But the main tourneys are in south and stick to fishing those lakes/river even tho they suck.

Bill there's a few lakes up north that produce some good numbers but I'm not saying where there at.

The northern most lakes I've fished were Freeman and Shafer and that was only b/c I was at Purdue. Never fished a natural lake in Indiana. I am right between Monroe, Pajoka and Boggs, grew up fishing Monroe. With the business of life I'm lucky to get to one of those.

Being from southern Indiana, I feel the lakes in KY would be the better drive. I can get to Barren River in 2 hours or less. I don't know if any lakes north of Indy is as good as Barren.
