Many years ago my partner and I fished the Red man circuit and fished one of those tournaments at lake Wawasee, beautiful lake and we caught nice fish however the residents that live around the lake made it very clear that we weren't welcome.......that's the only time I've ever fished north of Indy.

I fished Freeman and Shafer when I was at Purdue. I used to fish Wawasee when the IBF invitationals went there, but it takes me 5 1/2 hours to get there. It also takes me 5 1/2 hours to get to Guntersville. Haven't been to Wawasee in years.

If you’re going North, might as well keep going North and get into Michigan, or at least to Lake Erie.

You don't fish at all from what I've heard.

I fish Maxi, Wawasee and Maggies Stretch often but prefer Lake Mich. connected waters. I fish Grand Haven, Muskegon and Whitehall in Michigan quite a bit.

Never fished north of Indy. Just too far away. I can be at Kentucky or Barkley in the same time I can be at Peru and I’m an hour from the Ohio River. Indiana is a long state and the northern part is a lot different from the southern part. Maybe one of these days when I have more time I’ll get up there.

Northern guys are scared of fish you can't swing in the boat with a spinning rod. Yep, I said that too.

I don't know, first two fish this year were 4lbs 11oz, and a bit over 3lbs. Didn't need a spinning rod for either.

Fishing is better in the north part of this state, but you are closer to the tva lakes.

Not to mention the occasional 40"+ muskie adds some entertainment.
