Funny we spend a couple months a year in the Lauderdale area. Very few people we meet are actually born in Florida. The common story is I came here on vacation and never went home. I appreciate you Floridians letting us visit in the winter.

I already pay way MORE property taxes on my small FL home than I do on my LARGE TN home. Just think what taxes would be if the tourists/snowbirds choose NOT to come to FL to visit, live, buy houses, spend stupid amounts of money to visit the parks, etc. Your welcome....

SOON and I mean VERY SOON Florida will be another California!! I have been in Florida 20 years and hate to see what is going on here. BUT--There is nothing you can do to stop it. When I want to see Old Florida I go to Yankee Town or Levy County.

The thing is Florida is not the only state being developed it’s happening in a lot of other states as well. Like it or not very few places are the same as they was 10 or 20 years ago.
