The only one that I know of has a 250R V8. Last I heard it was running 96 with a 36p bravo 1. But that was right off the bat and they were testing props and different set backs.

Keith, it's nice to have the plate for insurance in case of a problem. Thats the only reason I care.

I think until the new gear set comes out the 300Rs aren't going to be real practical for us. The $5000 prop that it took to get Steve Bishop's 20xrd to 111 is a bit much to go fishing on.

I seen where hydrotech will be offering 1.62 gears for a yamaha sho. I’m still leaning hard towards a sho when I upgrade

In the bass boat industry why is it that most of the R's are being installed on Bullets and other boats, not many Strokers. My theory is the 1.75 gear case kills the deal. Are they as strong as folks say.

I have a 300 r on a 21 xrd and love it. Like everyone else I'm still working on props and set up. I have no doubt that it will be a 94-95 mph tx loaded with 2 people when all said and done. They are coming out with 1:62s shortly though!

Thanks, there just haven't been much said about them. That should be great running for 21 xrd, especially with the load.

Almost ordered a 300r this week but my mechanic talked me into waiting for the 1.62 gear case. He said they have been testing for a while so hopefully will be out soon
