When I picked this one up end of February, Teresa at jacos said if she ordered one now it would be September before it would come in.

Very strong. Just got the first 4 hrs done on mine so haven't strung it out hard for long yet. Feels like it's got even more low end grunt than the SHO. Now I had a SHO on a Sterling and this 250R on an Allison so not exactly a true apple to apple comparison. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will continue to impress. I may be in the minority but I REALLY like the way it looks. The mid has the old 300x ish thick look to me.

once the 1.62 gear cases come out you will see some strokers with some. I’m thinking you will see 250’s bust 100 when that happens

We ran mine at the Ice Pirates rally, not the best running conditions but we made some passes. 36 Bravo was still the top end winner at 94.9 , boat was loaded 4 batteries, 112 Ultrex up front , full on fuel. 32 Bravo ran good but still on limiter, new 31 5 blade drove great but on limiter. The 250R will push a Stroker past 100mph with the right set up. Mine is set up to fish and I'm liking it a lot. Lots of god guys and gal at the Rally had fun times.

Interesting a 36 p prop is needed to run 94 with the v8 with 1.75 gears. With my 250 xs only 32p is needed to run 95 at about 6000 Rpms.

Is there a lot more slip or is the power made way down in the rpm range?? The 32 with 1.75 gears is 94/95 at about 6000 Rpms
