    250 SHO ECU Flash

I have a 2017 250 SHO on my boat and I am considering having it flashed to a 300. My question is will it hurt the longevity of my engine and create problems down the road.

    Thanks in advance,

    Bob

if you fish tournament trails with a 250 hp limit it could be a problem .

I've been wondering about the new flashes offered. Are they giving you 300 at the prop or crank? Are people seeing a big difference? Because, unless you get 300 at the prop with the flash I wouldn't flash the SHO to a 300. The torque now is almost the same and the HP isn't that much lower. It would only make monetary sense to me to flash the 200 or 225 to 300.

The info I got was its 300 at the prop and somewhere between 340-350 at the crank. That being said I flashed my 250 and would 100% do it over again. The mid range alone is worth it. The boat gained roughly 3-4 mph and it is a noticeable power increase. I flashed mine to 7000 RPMs and have her setup prop wise to turn 6500. Do it and don't look back.

Just sent my 200 ECU out for a flash to 300 with 6500 rev limiter. Hoping for some good gains.
    The boat is a 2013 Skeeter zx200.

Yes pretty good gains even on the 250 any 200 225 or 250 SHO they are all the same motors just different ecu programs all can be flashed to 354 hp at the powerhead at the prop shaft its about 10-15% less
