I couldn't keep my feet off the trim buttons either so I had a double blinker style put on mine. Left side is the trim and the right side works the jackplate. I didn't wire it but you should only have to cut the wires going to the buttons and reroute it to the new switch.

Ya I went with double blinker as well. I don't remember how I disconnected them at the motor but it was simple if I did it.

Don’t disconnect at motor... you pigtail off the wires coming out the back of the foot switches

My boats got both. I hate the foot buttons but haven't disconnected them.

I remember a couple of years ago a guy was going down the river between Kiss. and Hatch. when his foot found his floor trim and he ended up on the bank..

Interesting as I have been trying to buy a set of those switches from TM. If any of you that have removed them would like to sell yours please let me know.

You can use Bigfoot trolling motor switches and just remove the piece that goes over it

Trim wire color code. Red=power, blue=up circuit, green=down circuit.

    How wide are your feet?

I guess none of you could be a pilot!
    LOL

Unless you’re Sasquatch, your foot should fit between the buttons.
