    Douglas Lake Fall Trip

I'm planning a camping and fishing trip for next fall to Douglas Lake.
When does the COE drop the water levels in the fall?
Would like to go mid October to enjoy the fall leaves.
    Thanks
    Chris

Usually around labor day the water levels come down considerably, so in October, you're looking at possible 15-20 foot drawdown. If the weather is cool, the fishing should be decent, but normally it hasn't cooled much by then so fish will still be in their late summertime pattern probably. Good luck and enjoy your stay. Peak leaf season this year was the 3rd week of Oct.

Are the public ramps still usable with the lake drawn down? Thinking about camping at Anchor Down. Any suggestions for ramp nearby or locations to start fishing in that general area mid October would be appreciated. Never been there before.
    Thanks,
    Chis

Anchor Down is awesome. Dandridge ramp and the ramp at the dam is really good year around. Depending of the rain you may been able to still use the ramp at anchor Down that time of year!

Made reservations to camp at Anchor Down mid September. Would like some suggestions on patterns and locations to fish. Never fished there before.
Prefer not to run far as I'm in an aluminum.
    Thank,
    Chris

Early morning and late afternoon into night will be better mid September. As mentioned, it most likely will still be warm. Can't go wrong slow rolling a nighttime spinnerbait after dark. About as much fun as you can have.
