    PHX leg room

Went to a boat show this weekend and tried on a few bass boats. I am 6’ 3” 220 lbs.

Nitro z20 - I didn’t even fit in the drivers seat, the shins of my long legs hit the bottom of the console. I was assured by the Prostaffer who was even bigger than me that the z21 (which he runs) would have plenty of leg room.

Phoenix 20 PHX - This fit me, but getting in and out from under the wheel was a little cramped. I wouldn’t exactly call it roomy. Does anyone know if the 21 PHX has a little more driver seat space than the 20?

Bass Cat Lynx - Now that thing was roomy. I could really stretch out and get comfortable in that boat.

I am more interested in a 21 foot boat anyway and just wondering if (like the Nitro) the 21 footer has a little more driver seat space than the 20 foot model?

All Phoenix Boats have the same cockpit but the seats can be moved back and they all have tilt wheel and adjustable hotfoot, there are a lot of guys 6'6" and 300lb in Phoenix's because of the leg room

6’3”, 250# running a 20PHX. Was worried about room till the dealer showed me the tilt wheel, never second guessed room again. Love the space I have. Enough room that my 65# lab sits under my legs on cold days while running down lake.

I have a 2013 721, at 6'4 and 260 I've never had any problem with leg room. The only mod I did to the driver's seat was to put 2x4's under it to raise it 1-1/2". After 3 back surgeries getting this body up and out of the seat was a bit tough. That fixed it. Working on a more permanent base out of aluminum.

Phnx Ed, please post a picture if you come up with a aluminum base. Raising the seat has been a concern for me.

I'm 6'8" and have owed a couple of 921's. No problem fitting. Just slide seat all the way back and tilt the wheel up.

I'm 5'10", 180lbs and fit in my 20phx pretty easy lol! I agree about the tilt wheel, that would make a huge difference for a bigger guy getting in and out of the seat.

I have to be honest, I don't recall anyone complaining about a Phoenix not having enough leg room. I went from a Skeeter TZX-190 to a Phoenix 721 so it feels like a gymnasium to me.

I'm 6-3 235 and have no problems in any of the models. Maybe the tilt wheel was too far down.
