Throttle works fine but there are 3 (wood type screws) looks like some put those in....they don't tighten up .....pretty much loose . How can I tighten those up or are they on some kind of nut plate.......

The "wood" screws are factory installed parts and do come loose over time. You can remove the handle and remove the screws one at a time and install 1/4x20 SS machine screws with a washer and nylon insert nut then tighten up. Move on to next screw, etc. It's kind of a PITA to do but if you use a box wrench with a piece of electrical tape to hold the nut in it helps a lot.

you could also take the screws out and fill the holes with marine tex if you can get to them and re-drill later to make them tight again...

There's also a spacer between the box and the inside of the hull to shim up the shifter so it makes you lift the dis-engager to go into reverse.
You'll hear them hit the floor of the boat - in a place you can't get if you take out all three at once.
