    Those guys in that thread pointed you in right direction. I also used a sanding pad on a small grinder and hit some spots. I just installed some hydroturf on my floor. Not sure I will ever go back to carpet on the floor.

    You have fun if your'e planning on doing those lids. Exposed glass, yeah it will look like shit.

    I carpeted the lids and just did the turf on the floor. I think OP is just doing the floor too.
