Question New Owner/Poster Needs Information on a 1987 Ranger Bass Boat

I am not new to boats but have been away from them for about 10-15 years. I just recently purchased a 1987 18' Ranger Bass Boat with a Ranger Trail Trailor and Evinrude 150 outboard. Never had a Ranger before and there are a zillion and one things I don't know about this boat (such as how much gas does it hold - gauge doesn't work, and how do you get to things below deck like the live well feed and drain hoses, or where can I get a wiring diagram, or JUST ABOUT ANY INFORMATION ANYONE CAN GIVE ME!!!

Sorry for the screaming but I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I bought this boat (mainly because it was priced right - I guess - at about $2800 for boat, motor (runs good) and trailer.

Any and all information would be GREATLY appreciated!

You'd be surprised how much you can obtain by calling Ranger directly.

I can't find any numbers on the boat itself except for the North Carolina Registration Numbers. The Hull Identification Number on the Title is RNG31181A787. The Engine is an Evinrude XP150 V6 VRO. I can send a picture of the boat of that will be of any help.

    Ranger spec page listing: http://www.bassboatcentral.com/rangersspecs2.htm
Spec pages show an 88-91 models had two 21 gallon tanks.

The livewell pumps and hoses should be under the battery compartment lid and you may or may not have a plate in the center with a battery on it. My old 354 you had to remove the center battery and then remove 4 screws to remove the floor plate to access the pumps and hoses.

Wiring diagram should be on the underside of the battery compartment lid. If it is not, Ranger can probably assist. Ranger parts # 1-800-724-7273
