    150 SHO- ECU Flash

I know flashing the ecu is an option on the bigger four stroke sho, but is it possible on the VF150?

I think that there are relatively few 150 SHO's that have been sold on the retail market. Wouldn't you think any power programmer would be putting his talents where the volume is in the market. You wonder what the new Merc. 4 stroke V-8's have in them with a quality tune?

I contacted Simon motorsports, and was told for $675 they could flash the 150 and add 50hp. That's with the stock rev limiter.

I'd also be interested in hearing anyone's results flashing the 4 cyl SHO. I know the 175 is only a factory tune upgrade over the 150. What is the rev limiter on these?

I know the performance bulletin on the 150 SHO vs 175 SHO on a basscat Sabre is 62 MPH, to 68 MPH, although a different prop and setup was used. I wonder if the tune would squeeze much more out of the 175?

I’m resurrecting this one from the dead. Has anybody tried this yet and could you post your improvements?

Zombie post. Any news on this on this? Does anyone know if the 50 hp upgrade is simply the F200 tune or is it bespoke. If it’s the ecu tune from the 2.8l 200 what does it do to holeshot and mid-range?
