In VA, the cost depends on your age when you buy it...

51-55 yrs old, it's 160 to hunt, 160 for freshwater fishing

56-60 yrs old, it's 110 to hunt, 110 for freshwater fishing

61-64 yrs old, it's 60 to hunt, 60 for freshwater fishing

    65 + yrs old, it's 20 to hunt, 20 for freshwater fishing

Best thing about my Kansas Lifetime Hunt/Fish license, I got it when I was 16, is when I moved out of state. I could still come back and fish/hunt anytime with family.
I once again live in KS so it's still getting used.
25 years ago it was $240 hunt, $240 Fish, or $440 Combo ( less than just one of them now)

I purchased a lifetime fishing and hunting license in Alabama, in 1977. The cost for the pair was $200. I think they are priced based on age now. I have obtained my money's worth on the fishing license, but probably not on the hunting license.

What does a Resident 65+ Hunt/Fish certificate cover and where do I get it?

Florida residents age 65 or older only need a Florida Driver License or Identification Card to prove residency and age. They are not required to purchase the following recreational licenses and permits:
•Saltwater fishing, freshwater fishing and hunting licenses
•Snook, lobster, deer, management area, muzzleloading, turkey, archery, crossbow, *Florida waterfowl, and migratory bird permits.

As usual, we're getting hosed in Washington state. A 70+ fishing annual freshwater license for me is only $7.50, but there's no discount on hunting licenses, and no "lifetime" option that I can find. I can't figure out why there's a pheasant license for Western WA, but none for Eastern WA. Here's the link to the fee schedule, so you can double check me. It must be the water...

Live in Kansas...back when I was 30 yrs old Kansas Wildlife and Parks offered a lifetime license for $200. Yearly license was $9.50, now they are $27.50. I am now 66. Well worth it especially now that they sell them for $400. Nice thing about them are you don't need to renew each year.
Sacred Heart of Mary, pray for us now, and at the hour of our death. AMEN
O blood and water which gush forth from the heart of Jesus, have mercy on us
For the sake of his sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and the whole world
