Looking at a Lund rebel 1650

Looking at a Lund 1650 rebel with a 60 hp merc. I have fished off the bow of a Lowe 16 mod v bass boat for years. Never a v Hull. Anyone have experience as far as stability on this boat. Using it a Candlewood Lake in ct if I get it. Pt a speedster but it should do low 30,s

The Lund hull isn't a true V hull. It's a V in the front and pad in the stern. The wide bottom and reverse chines make it stable when moving around inside the boat.

For its size the rebel is a good fishing platform. Had one back in the 90's and it was a solid rig.

I have a 2012 Lund Rebel 1625 XL SS with dual consoles, flip-up rear seat/deck, 75 hp Optimax and a 24V, 80 lb. Fortrex. The 1650 is the same boat with just more length and max hp. rating of 90 hp. When I bought my boat, 60 hp motors were standard with the package and the 75 was optional and the maximum hp. I think with a 60 a 1650 might be a little under-powered. Mine gets 36-37 mph @ WOT (5400-5600 RPM) with an aluminum four-blade Spit-fire (19P) and a Trophy Plus (17P) gives me about 1-3 mph less. Yes my boat is very stable and fishes like a bass boat.
