    Z19 70mph plus

I own one, I have been in 3, I have driven 3. I have hammered down all they got and best I have seen in mine is 66.8. Best Ive ran in buddies 67.8. I keep reading and hearing how eveyone is running 70-72mph, but I have yet to attain it, I have yet to even see it actually posted. (VIDEO GPS). Someone please put up a video or put this myth to rest lol. Oh and I love my new Z19 and I'm very pleased with 66-67 FYI. I just want to see what everyone keeps saying.

I generally am in no hurry so don't top end mine much. I did see 69.1 on my GPS, by myself, but it was starting to get a bit squirelly so I backed off. Trimmed down just a bit it will run 65 to 66 without any chine walking. I don't fish tournaments so I generally don't carry a bunch of stuff.

I totally agree, I have mine loaded full tourn load and mine is a dual console, as well as a 36v troll system. So I understand mine is heavy. I just keep hearing and reading over and over about 70+ and using it as a selling point. Even BoatTest.com only achieved 67 on there test on a 2017 Z19 Pro package. I totally get that 67 is fast and I love that I can run that loaded. Just please someone post it or just say (68) lol

My 2017 Z19 did touch 70.1 - 70.2 several times. But this was with a fairly light load, 1/2 tank of gas or less, and just by myself, probably with the wind . After I added one Talon, I never saw 70 mpg again, but it would touch 68.5-69, again with the same type of load. At these speeds it will chine walk if you let it....

With a 250lb partner and fully loaded for a tournament, it had a 65.5 mph top speed.
Motor was jacked up 1-1/2" above stock height from the factory. 25P Fury prop.

This is 100% honest truth... lol

Mine was a 2017 z19 and before adding 2 talons with just me and a half tank of gas it would run 70 but after adding the talons with just me could still hit 67-68. Me and my partner 65-66 and that was a full tank. But on a long run when it got to half a tank or below with 2 guys it would hit 68. Long run I'm talking like from ky dam to pass Paris.

Not really, lol!! As much crap as we put on these boats now a days, it is going to be tough to get many bass boats to run over 70. But for a boat with only a 200hp motor on the back, it truly ran 70+ without all the stuff like talons, 36V trolling motor, etc. If you could drive it, I might add.... This was the 2 Stroke ProXS, I am referring to.

In all honesty, the Z19 is underpowered IMO.... It should be rated for a 225 max. hp. Then we would be talking about 70+ all day long.
    But that is another story....
I will also add, now that we are putting only the 4-Stroke ProXS on it, I doubt any Z19 will run over 70. So with that said, your opening statement is probably right on....

I agree with the 225 Rating on the Z19 simply for the fact that the Z18 is 175 rated and the Z20&21 are 250 rated. Kinda hard to sell 225 Mercs When they don't have a boat that truly needs it. Yes you can get it on the 20&21 but then its under rated. As far as opening statement its still true. Not one video of a Z19 running 70. All hearsay.

I've never adjusted my motor or played with props but I know what my GPS shows and I'm on the water alot.
So the different speed could be alot of different reasons. Every boat is different, one motor maybe stronger for some reason then another. But I would love to see a 225 on the back of my z19.

No it doesn't? My question was someone post a video (GPS) This is a commercial with absolutely zero GPS speed. You cant even tell if its a Z19 in that clip lol. I've seen that video.

Someone will post one. It isn't easy taking a video by yourself while driving a boat 70mph. Trust me... So if anyone tries it, be careful....

Fastest I've seen was 67.8 fully loaded w 2 adults running down Barkley. Can't say I've really pegged it since then but geez I'd think with 3-400 less lbs in it it would have to be pushing it..but no I havent actually seen 70. 2018 z19 200

Layton is correct his 2017 Z-19 would hit 70 I bought it from him and it screams, little chin walk at 70, so I keep it around 65 now. Love the boat

Fastest I've been with a light load, 1/2 tank of gas, and only 24v trolling system was 68.8 mph (sorry, no video). With a full load and 2 250lb guys, 66.3 mph (the wind may have been at our back, lol). 2018 Z19 with a ProXs 25p Fury.

    Yep,
Same as me and everyone else 67ish. The only reason I started this thread was people have inquired info on the Z19 for possible purchase and I just wanted us Z19 owners to give honest accurate opinions. I'm sure with no gas, no weight, ans ideal conditions you can attain 70. However no one uses the boat in that scenerio. We use them loaded and practical and I just want us Z19 owners to relay that the boat runs 67ish just as everyone has said, and just as the test videos have said. I appreciate everyone's responses and truth.

    Thank You

But I will be able to tell you if I see a difference in the new boat in getting to replace my 2017. I keep my motor once I get every thing back on it hopefully it will run just as good. But most likely won't cause I hope the new boat has the amount of fiberglass it's supposed too. Lol
