I've never been over 66 in my 2017 Z19. First spring I had it I went to a lake with the boat empty except for 3/4 tank gas and the 36 volt trolling motor and one Power Pole Blade. Got 66. Kept hearing about everyone doing 68. Mid-summer found out the bolt that governs how far you can push the hot foot wasn't screwed in all the way limiting amount of throttle I could apply. Screwed it all the way in and still only got 66. Figured water was a lot warmer so no biggie. Next spring I added another Power Pole Blade, emptied the boat except 5/8 tank gas, batteries and trolling motor. Still got 66. Oh well...

Might have been 5800. At the time I looked it up and it was right where it should have been. Besides, I'm running the same prop as everyone else with this same boat and motor who are getting 68, which is a 25 pitch Fury. I did want to try my buddies 24 pitch Fury but didn't have the right tools on the water to get the prop insert out.

Incorrect information. The 200 Pro Xs as described is listed in manual as follows. FULL THROTTLE RANGE 5250-5750 & the overspeed rev limiter is 5850. I own same boat as others and 5600 is correct if your running the 25p Fury 3. Earlier 2017 models had 24p Props.

Its in the Mercury Manual for reference.

Not really. I would be trying to get to 5750 (or 5800) personally. 5250 is way too low for full throttle if we're complaining about top speed. Also you have a 2018 motor and he has a 2016 so max rpms are not the same for every motor year necessarily regardless if it's the same hp. Would need more information from him.

He probably does have a 2016 Motor, but his boat is no doubt a 2017 Model Z19. I had the same set-up, with a 2016 motor, and the max RPMs I ever saw was around 5750, usually 5600 in the summer months. But keep in mind we are looking at pretty questionable tach guages.. 25P Fury...

Yes you are correct. The rpm is 5250-5750 as stated in manual. I personally think in general after 20 years running 2.5 liter 200's that 5800-6000 just got stuck in our brains lol. the Opti is a 3.0. O have looked at multiple manuals and cannot find one that shows 5800-6000? I'm pretty sure the people at Mercury know what prop to use and the dealers should as well. They do it for a living right?

Good to know. But no, boats are not always propped correctly out the door. Every boat and motor is different. Hope the OP gets it figured out.

I had a 2017 Z19 with heavy loads and dual console and had best all around performance with 24 pitch Fury. Pros Choice helped with the design of the boat and they put 24 Fury om what they sold. The 25 becomes a dog in hot muggy weather. Mine came from Nitro with 25 on it.

Mine has a 25 fury with all the plugs out. It never has dragged coming out of the hole with and without the talons. It may be dragging it down but if so it only like a second or two really can't tell.

Mine after all break in now is freeing up a bit and I topped out at 68.4 gps last week. I have it fully loaded tackle and fuel, 4 batteries and 2 people. It is on pad in 3 seconds just as advertised. It has 25p Fury 3 and tops out at 5600 without over trimming. Im in NW Ar so alttidude doesnt factor probably why the 25 wotks fine...........Still no 70 lol

Well, now you are seeing better speeds than I ever did with that type of load. I bet if you kick your partner out and all his or her tackle, lighten up on the fuel some, you might see 70 easily.

76 is good. I've had mine up to 85 before and it was trying to catch up to a f150 but just stayed about 3ft back. Lol

You guys clearly dont run 40 degree water a lot. HAHA!

70-71 in 2017 Z-19 pro package 200hp proxs loaded from April -June on Champlain. After that water warms up. Max is 68.

Dude, it isn't easy to drive a boat correctly, that chine walks at 65-70mph, while holding a camera with one hand.... Let alone very safe... I don't recommend anyone try it!
