    Vexus 2080 speed with 200 G2

Ok anyone can give me an accurate speed of a 2080 with 200 G2. Boat will have 2 pp's on it. Dealer says high 60's low 70's . Is this realistic with a 200.

Of course he’s going to say low 70s. He wants to sell you a boat! Have him put it in writing that you can return it if it doesn’t reach 70. I think Cox only hits 62 with a 200 on his crestliner. If you want 70, you’re going to have to go with an Xpress.

I'm not in the market for one, I have a new ZX 250 with a 250 sho and only get low 70's. A friend of mine is looking and this is what the dealer told him. I just find it hard to believe once it's tourney loaded with 2 guys that it can get to the speed the dealer said with the G2 200. Would like someone with one to confirm if they can LOL.

High 60’s to low 70’s covers the variables. Probably high 60’s loaded is what they mean and low 70’s stripped down and one person. Im curious what the real world jumbers are for this boat as well. Seems like It should be rated for a 225

Mine is still in double oil and this is what I've seen so far.
2 people (700 lbs) full tank, full livewell, and my full tournament gear was 64 mph, same load with empty well was just shy of 66 mph
2 people (600lbs) full tank, light gear, empty livewell, 69 mph
Have not run it by myself yet but I'm looking forward to it. I've been told to expect 70 or a little more

You cannot compare speeds with the ProXS because the Evinrude is a much stronger performer on this hull (5-6mph+ from my experience)
So basically this is probably a mid 60's boat with his 2 pp's and tourney load. Let's face it most dealers throw out speed numbers with the boat empty and minimal fuel. Most guys just don't run around the lake this way.

Pretty solid performer from what I have read, mid 60s loaded in a tin is fine by me.

Agree completely mid 60's is fine just don't want my friend dropping $55,000 with the extras he added thinking he's going to running upper 60's and low 70's loaded and then be disappointed

I would say mid 60's would be a good bet. I'm expecting mine to get a little faster as it gets more hours on it but it may not. Its a very fun boat to drive!!

Bill Day is running a 2080 at the Bassmaster Open on Harris Chain this week. He posted some screen shots of his GPS with 65 and 67 MPH speeds. He said it is full tournament load, dual PP Blades, one person. He is running the new Merc V8.

    Tested a 2019 Vexus AVX2080 with Mercury 200 ProXS V-8 Fourstroke today.
NOTE: Today the conditions for maximum speed were perfect (post cold front, near sea level, 10 mph tailwind).
67.2 MPH Full of fuel, dual power poles, Atlas Hydraulic Jackplate, heavy tournament load of tackle and my big butt (no Co angler today). I’d say this is a 62-65 mph boat most days. Not too shabby!

Base price with a Mercury is less than 40k.

If you want to have 2 poles, 2 12" graphs, and every option available, then yes, it will be 55k. The one I just got is 48k on the build page. 200HO G2, victor package, 2 93sv garmin units, coin box, cover, extra power pedestal, ultrex.

I just priced a 2080 with the same features as a nitro z20 pro and the Venus comes out with a higher price. Very similar size boat with a smaller motor and less options. Makes a decision tougher
