Can you clarify how the rotation works. I will be using this with my current Panoptix until I upgrade to live scope. I currently will pull up to a area an do a full rotation with the TM to see what's going on. What will it take to do some thing similar.

    Thanks

The scanning can be easily accomplished with the extension handle. The handle slips in the top of the mount then with a little down pressure you can swing the mount from side to side. Once you let go of the handle it just sits freely in the top hole. Hope that makes sense.

The handle lifts out so you could move it out of your way but no we did not see any problems with the handle even with 2 guys fishing on the deck you can move it left or right also to if it’s in a person way. Also there is a knob on the mount that can be turned by hand so you could just use that instead of the handle .Lots of different ways to turn it ,but all out way of having it on the trolling motor shaft that is useless in 90 percent of times.

My engineering brain says that sounds like a prime candidate for lean improvement - redesign the outer tube length & gusset attachment to by symmetrical. Then one unit could be flipped for use on inside or outside. Cuts final weld assembly complexity in half.
With the manufacturing savings, you can send me checks for the Lean consultation recommendations.

Yes we have flipped the mount but the bracket braces are than on top and does not look good .Just a eye sore but could go both ways.
