Good luck to Lee in retirement. Richmon Marine was answering his number. Looks like they moved into his space.

Please tell me this is not true, You could not ask for a better dealer and or people to work with. I bought my Gambler (new) from Lee and Donna in Jan. 2001. Lee and his son Clay and their staff are the only one's that have ever worked on my 2001 Gambler / Merc over the years.. I wish only the best for Lee and Donna and cannot thank them enough. Happy retirement.

Now we will just have to Florida to visit with him. I think we should plan a rally at his place in Florida!

Last I talked to Lee told him he has no excuse not making the rally....unless of course he's traveling around the world. Last I heard Robbie has moved his shop to a new location bigger building to continue his prop business and possibly expand into a boat line and mechanics shop. That's not official though

Yeah, I heard Hopewell. Hope he kicks butt down there with a new shop. He's young enough going forward to have the time to build a successful business.

Going to miss my trips to Chester, Va. Just not the drive around the DC beltway. Congrats to Lee on a well deserved retirement. The hunt begins for a good Merc mechanic in south central Pa.

Wow....What a surprise! What set Lee apart for me was , you didn't feel like you were buying from just some dealer , you could tell he was honest and it felt like you were dealing with a friend you'd known a long time. And , unlike most dealers Lee was always there to help after the sale was finale. He's gonna be missed.
Good luck and take a break and THANKS , Lee!!

Lee was a rare breed of a businessman. Actually old school. TB21 said it best.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, Donna and I really appreciate everyone's friendship and loyalty for so many years.
We were not planning on retirement for another year or two but when someone came along wanting to purchase our shop it was a no brainer not to turn them down.
The hardest decision was giving up the Allison dealership side of the business as the Allison's and all of you have been like family for so long, I will certainly miss that part.

The reason I've laid low on this for as long as I have is that I still had ties with Mercury since I was waiting on an engine we had on order since October for White Gambler, I didn't want Mercury asking any questions.

    Thanks again everyone!!!

Just for everyone's information, Robbie could have stayed where he was, it was his decision to move to a larger facility so he could expand the business in to boat and engine repairs, and maybe sales also. He will still have the same phone number, although I heard the phone company had that screwed up at one time, hope it's fixed now.
    His # is 804-706-1847.

Guess I need an avatar change now too.

Maybe I'll make it, has been or use to be. LOL
