    Back Bay

Anyone have any information about Back Bay? I use to fish it back in the 70's and it was fantastic! When the grass left it turned into a no fish mud hole. I have heard that it's coming back.

I have Back Bay reports on my website. Use the "Fishing Reports" link in my signature.

Most guys put in at Back bay landing or Mill landing rd. Both are public ramps but can be busy this time of year with duck hunters.

I caught tons of fish back in the 70's with a Johnson spoon, both black and silver as well as dropping worms in holes in the grass. Those were the days! Would love to see it come back like that!

I won my first MBAA tournament in early 80's @ Back Bay. Hell the entry fee was only $15.00.

Its better now than it was 10 years ago but still nothing like it was in the 70s and early 80s IMHO. We used to launch at a campground in Sandbridge but that ship has sailed. Mill Landing can be tough with low water (North wind). The old game warden station has a decent one lane ramp with a LONG canal leading to Back Bay. I'm happy to see some grassbeds coming back and plan on giving it a try this summer. Good luck
