Question 2007 Z21 Dash Upgrade - HELP NEEDED

I'm ready to upgrade the stock dash on my 2007 Ranger Z21 and am in need of some suggestions and advice. I'd like to have the fewest possible gauges on my dash when I'm completed. I'll keep the small retangular Merc smartcraft gauge that's on the lower right side of the dash.

    • Want my Lowrance HDS 12 mounted on the dash directly in front of me as I'm driving.
    • Will be adding a Mercmonitor gauge to the dash.

Which Lowrance dash mount would you recommend and why?

Where would you mount the Mercmonitor gauge?

With the Mercmonitor, which of the current gauges can be eliminated?

I don't have any idea what's involved in this whole remodel, so what are some of the snags I may hit once I start replacing/removing the stock dash components?

Your helpful suggestions and advice are greatly appreciated!!! Thanks and have a great day!

Below are pics of the current dash for reference.

Ditto, same as Michael49. Randy has specially cut templates and brackets to modify your dash. The mount will accommodate an HDS 12. He has dash panels to fit whatever gauges you want to display. You will be very happy after talking to him. PM me if you have any specific questions.

I did this a few years ago. I made and trimmed all my own panels.

If your going to install a Level one Merc monitor you don't need the retangular Merc smartcraft.

I just made this same gauge relocation using precision sonar kit. I hope your ranger was built with longer wires and hoses than mine, i had it order new wiring harness for the tach, run new hoses for the water pressure gauge. I also installed dual graphs on the bow, i think i have posted the dang nightmare i got into. I love how it looks and works, but when you are cutting wires and hoses on a 50 thousand dollar boat it gets nerve wracking.
