Many complaining about trouble posting pics

Something has changed for Apple users for sure! Bill Reynolds taught me 7 months ago a very easy way to post a pic right from my Apple photo app. That way no longer works and I’ve asked Mr. Reynolds (who has helped me on SO many things) and he is having the same issue.

Using a place like tinypic has become the easiest way now. Not sure what changed but it’s not that hard to adapt. At least with Tinypic my orientation is always right!

If like me you only use your cell to post here you can just say F it like I have regarding posting pics lol. Much easier that way.

Yep. That’s my thoughts too and not meant to be taken rude in any way. It simply used to be easy straight from the phone. Now since it’s not, I just don’t really worry with it. I saw a post made so I just added comment on how it changed for myself.

Sideways but I don't have any problems.

If the pic is sideways, open it on your computer with whatever software you want (windows photo gallery works well for this since it saves it in the rotated orientation), rotate it, then save it. Then use the rotated pic for tinypic to convert instead of the original.

My problem is I updated something now cannot see videos posted. Works on other sites. Cannot figure it out.

Saw that too, but still refuse to use them out of principle...............

if they'd have raised the rates gradually, that's one thing, but to immediately jump as high as they did....uncalled for

not so much the cost, as it is they held my pics (and may others) hostage. Luckily I saw what was going on and downloaded all my pics to my personal computer so I still had them


I also refuse to go to certain stores out of principle, and it doesn't cost me either, so they are effectively also free...

Anyway, last I heard, choosing what store to use, or site to visit, well, that was/is still my choice to make.............

Your pics were never hostage, they were always available for removal. But believe me, I didn’t pay their rates either, but now that it’s free again, I’ll let my principals slide.

I never used the word boycott........I simply said I refuse to use them or go to their store

Well, when my I am unable to access my pics or use them as was intended when they were uploaded to that site, and I have to pay a crazy fee to do so, then I consider that hostage. If it weren't for the ability to link them to sites and such, I'd have never put them there in the 1st place.



There are stores I refuse to use, but naming them on here serves no purpose.

Apparently you don't know me very well........

There are a lot of things I won't and haven't given my thoughts/preferences/opinions about here on this website, or any other website for that matter....

Simply not worth the risk of causing trouble over it.........................we all are entitled to our own opinions and way of thinking, but when someone else doesn't agree, well, it's just not worth it.

I think the forum software is just a bit dated - not the fault of the mods, and certainly works well enough. But as a frequenter of several forums re firearms, golf, other fishing sites, etc you can see the differences... the latest image/attachment issues, the multi-quoting is tedious at best, and my personal pet peeve that is that it doesn't recall read positions of threads by default - unlike pretty much every other freaking forum software package out there. I mean seriously, a "Go to first unread" button? Should be automatic/default action when reading a previously read thread (See TackleTour, TexasFishingForum, etc as examples). The logic is already in the code since the button exists, but it should be the default thread view - so not sure if a forum code issue or a admin/configuration issue...
BUT, BBC is pretty much the best Bass Fishing/Bass Boat/Etc forum content wise out there, at least imo - so I try not too complain too much

Anyway, I got OT - I also stopped using Photobucket back when they tried to charge those exorbitant fees, and switched to imgur for photo's I actually might want to keep, and use postimage for "throwaway" pics I don't care about having stored somewhere, ie screenshots n such...
