Good for you and happy for your son! I too have a son that has some developmental delays but he brings more joy to me than I could have every expereienced without him. Children are a true blessing and I am blessed to have two of them.

I am sorry your wife made the decision she made but I know you are doing right by your son. You can tell it in the picture and read it in the teachers note.

    Well done sir.

"The man of system is apt to be very wise in his own conceit; and is often so enamored with the supposed beauty of his own ideal plan of government that he cannot suffer the smallest deviation from any part of it…He seems to imagine that he can arrange the different members of a great society with as much ease as the hand arranges the different pieces upon a chessboard.” Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiments

Brad, I am proud of you. Even though my oldest isn't on the spectrum, he was abandoned by 2 different women in my life. 1 gave birth to him, the other he called mommy. It took until he was 7 to find the right 1. It is your love for him that will guide him through life.

"Nice to know I've done at least one thing right in the past 5+ years"

Id say two things, getting rid of the dead weight was the other. Good job on raising him.
