    99 ranger trail

this trailer has the side mount tongue jack with the single wheel. when I put it in the garage ive got to put it caddy corner so ive got to roll it by hand, and im always having to kick the wheel so it will turn. any recommendation on a jack that will not break the bank

Lower the jackstand all the way down. This will make it 1000 times easier to turn without having to kick the jack wheel. I learned this by accident after years of kicking the jack wheel just like you do.
